FINAL FOUR PICKS

So, now that you've had a chance look over the brackets for a day let's see who you got, as they say! First and foremost I'd like to say that I am NOT a college basketball expert, though I do love to watch when I can. The brackets are interesting, to say the least.
First let's take a look at the Midwest. This one contains #1 overall seed Kansas. They've got to be the odds on favorite to win another one for former Illinois coach Bill Self (traitor). Their toughest competition would appear to be any one of the top seeds from the bottom of the bracket: Ohio State, Georgetown, or dark horse Tennessee, capable of a big game when necessary. Through all of teams here I'd have to go with "Rock, chalk, Jayhawk" Kansas.
Next we move on to the West bracket: With their first # 1 seed since 1980 Syracuse seemed to be poised to take this region just a week and a half ago. But recent struggles over the last couple of games have put some doubt in the minds of Orange supporters. That makes the pick from this region a little tougher to make. A possible match up with the always cinderella-ish Gonzaga could be intriguing for the 'Cuse but they should handle them. The toughest competition for the Final Four bid in the West could be Kansas State, who this guy is picking to make the trip to Indy for the championship weekend.
The East Bracket: Number 1 seed Kentucky, my favorite to win, seems to only have one "hard" game ahead if the seeds hold, that being West Virginia. We'll see, but this could just be a trap for weak minded fans like me.
Last is the South Region: I am admittedly a Duke hater, but this prediction has nothing to do with that. Cal, Louisville, or Texas A&M could give them a game before they even get to the Sweet 16. I'm not saying, but I hope they go out...or maybe they'll get a rematch with my Final Four pick from this region, Villanova.
So, to recap, my Final Four picks are Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, and Villanova. My pick to win it all is Kentucky....save some face for the SEC this year. Oh well, let's hear your picks. Be well and enjoy the show! PP
