So, what do you think of the field? Who, in your opinion, got the snub? Who is you early favorite? Which bracket do you think the eventual champ will come from? Which conference do you think the champ will come from? All of these are great questions I am going to ponder for the next day as I fill my brackets out for various contests. As for the tournament, it was always a staple of TV in our home when I was a teen. I can remember the talk as kids and the small "bets" we'd make with each other over who'd win the final game...good times! I used to rush home to see the early round games that were on during the day. I can remember Thursdays and Fridays being able to stay up late and watch until the last West Coast game was finished. Many moments stick out in my mind from tournaments I watched as a kid: Chris Webber's "time out" that sealed the win for the Heels; Duke's win over Kentucky with Laettner's turnaround jumper from the foul line and many more I could recall. The tourney is such a cool event to be able to see each year.Good luck to all of you on your brackets and enjoy The Dance!!! Be well and enjoy the show. PP
P.S. - Here's a good web page where you can find, follow, and print your brackets for the NCAA http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/mayhem/brackets/viewable_men?tag=pageContainer;column_3l Championships.

This one is easy.'97 Zona Wilcats beat three #1's to win the championship!
ReplyDeleteI actually thought of that while I was writing yesterday and I thought of you at the same time! It's amazing how our memories can be linked by sport. No team I had a passion for ever really won anything in college until after I was in college or a grown man (Gators), so, borrowing other people's memories will have to suffice.
ReplyDeleteThat is, I thought of the Arizona win, Justin. Sorry about that.
